*HR Payroll Coordinator* American Photo Marketing has over 40 years experience in professional photography for schools, colleges, and universities.
We are currently in search of a part-time HR Payroll Coordinator working approximately 20 hours per week at our Ypsilanti, MI headquarters.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for payroll preparation, benefit administration support, onboarding new hires, and assisting with recruiting as needed.

*RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Review bi-weekly payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing * Primary point of contact for employees regarding HR and payroll matters * Assist with recruiting and hiring by posting job ads, conducting screenings, managing the company Indeed account, running background checks, drafting and sending job offers/contracts, etc.
* Coordinate new hire onboarding including completion of I-9 and all required paperwork * Create and maintain accurate employee profiles and records within the payroll, benefits, and HR software systems and files as directed * Assist with administering employee benefit plans, answering questions, and coordinating new hire and annual open enrollment benefit elections in collaboration with a benefit broker.
* Setup and support employee 401k accounts utilizing Empower * Run various reports and respond to information/data requests as needed * All other duties to support the evolving HR, benefits and payroll needs of the organization *QUALIFICATIONS:* * High school diploma or equivalent * 3+ years experience with payroll processing and/or supporting payroll, benefits and/or HR * Highpoint experience preferred, not required * Employee Navigator experience is a plus * Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team * Highly organized and diligent, paying attention to detail and ensuring follow through * Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence *WHAT WE OFFER:* * Flexible, part-time hours * Professional and casual work environment * Passionate, creative, and dedicated team members! * Free parking close to Eastern Michigan University (EMU) * Potential to grow with the company’s success!
