We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payment to our employees.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and possess excellent organizational and analytical skills.
*Job Purpose and Primary Responsibilities*
The Payroll Specialist’s role is to collaborate with the Payroll Manager in completing the Bi-Weekly Payroll Process and support all functions, including but not limited to providing reporting, maintaining appropriate Payroll records, and partnering in some shared responsibilities with Human Resources.
*Responsibilities*
· Performs accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
· Registration of State, local, and unemployment insurance taxes
· Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of effective procedures and internal control policies to improve business processes.
· Prepares reports and performs analysis of payroll data.
· Provides customer service to employees, management, and third-party vendors.
*Knowledge Required*
· Comprehensive knowledge of payroll/time and attendance platforms.
· Knowledge of UKG or comparable payroll systems.
· Bachelor’s degree or CPP Certification preferred.
· Five or more years of payroll experience.
· Strong knowledge of payroll taxes such as Federal, State, Local and unemployment.
· Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office.
Proficient in Excel, basic knowledge of Word and Outlook.

· May be constant interruptions and the need to meet with others on a regular basis.
· Deadlines associated with this position may require hours > eight and the need to work weekends (i.
e.
holiday payroll processing).
