*Duties and Responsibilities*
I.
Recruit, train, develop, and manage Accounting Department staff to perform as an efficient team to carryout Dept.
processes and responsibilities.
II.
Maintain and train staff to Department functions so they dependably and efficiently achieve accuracy and timeliness.
III.
Work with the management team of the Company.
IV.
Career development of accounting staff
V.
Oversee and help manage relationships with financial, insurance, and legal professionals.
VI.
Manage financial details and relationships between the Company, its suppliers and customers.
VII.
Efficiently interface the accounting system and processes with each of the Departments of the Company.
VIII.
Improve, develop, and train staff to Department systems consistent with company goals.
IX.
Ensure Department activities and decisions are consistent with company goals and management’s plans and strategies.
X.
Oversee payroll, business systems, budgets, payables, receivables, projections, financing, audits, investments, taxes, financial statements, data reports, and cash flow.
XI.
Manage systems for the Company’s extension of credit to its customers.
XII.
Oversee contractual arrangements that the Company enters into and maintain records for them.
XIII.
Participate in Company contract negotiations/agreements and enlist third-party professional help where necessary.
Work with management and legal counsel to thoroughly understand ramifications of contract provisions from all perspectives.
XIV.
Work with Administration and Human Resources in the handling of personnel records and employee benefits.
XV.
Foster relationships with professionals at banks, finance companies, accounting firms, insurance companies, and law offices for anticipated Company needs and for issues as they arise.
XVI.
Work with Sales and Purchasing Departments to help manage customer and supplier relationships including credit management, Company strategic credit issuance use, and account reconciliations.
XVII.
Participate in Company financial forecasting and systems for them.
XVIII.
Work with the President and Board in determining safekeeping, and utilization of Eden Foods’ capital and resources.
XIX.
Provide reports to management to facilitate their efforts on behalf of the Company.
Research and prepare information as the Company requires.
XX.
Oversee and ensure accuracy and security of Company and Department data, financial information, operational results, and records.
XXI.
Manage Company asset investments consistent with the company president’s guidance as well as employee benefits, business policies, and the 401(k) plan.
XXII.
With management, accommodate Company insurance needs.
Ensure annual insurance renewals and oversee claims administration.
The Accounting Dept.
works with Administration and Human Resources annually with respect to employee insurances and benefits.
