POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Plant Controller
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Sr.
Director of Finance & Administration
GENERAL INFORMATION
Work Hours: M-F, 40 hours per week
Location: High Point, NC
FLSA Classification: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The Plant Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices.
The Plant Controller will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure cycle counts are done and all adjustment transactions are recorded monthly.
Monitor inventory of Raw Material and FG and actively engage in reducing balances of these items.
Manage the cost reporting (Power BI) and staying on top of margins on a daily/weekly basis.
Manage WIP jobs for anything beyond a 30-day past due unbilled status.
Review valuation of FG items in accordance with reflective inventory standards and carrying costs (including LCM testing).
Review Accounts Payable transactions (coding and timely submission to STP), PO creation, and general day to day assurance.
Oversee and assist with billing – supervise billing clerks.
Approve and process credit memos / RMAs.
Various account reconciliations, journal entries, and bank recs.
Compile necessary reports for customers.
Process referral fees reports/payments.
Various reporting as needed.
Provide analysis on spending patterns as needed.
CRITICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of experience in financial management preferred.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Excel.
