Job Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting/overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, project accounting, financial reporting and more.
This position will report to the Director of Accounting and Project Controls and has one direct report.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, WIP, and fixed assets are reconciled monthly and follow generally accepted accounting principles and government auditing standards (FARs)
Provide technical accounting guidance to the accounting team and senior leadership group.
Responsible for managing journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and other month-end transactions
Participates in the development of budgets and projections
Prepares monthly internal financial reporting and various financial statements
Reviews income tax filings, registrations, and record keeping of filings from CPA.
Identifies issues and raises them to the appropriate level
Maintains related SOPs
Leads and directs the work of others, including overall performance management for one direct report
Other Duties as assigned
Job Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance
5+ years of related experience, preferably in a service and/or project-based office
Microsoft Excel (intermediate/advanced)
Advanced experience with ERP systems or other software, Deltek Ajera would be a plus
Supervisory experience preferred

Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 60% of the time.
Operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
Light lifting, under 10 lbs.
Ability to work on-site full time.
