Up for sale is a 2008 VW Touareg.
The Good: All wheel drive, good tires (One is new), Hitch (Towing capacity 7,700 lbs.
), Heated seats, Heated mirrors (Both work), New windshield wipers, New PCV valve, New intake manifold seals, 1 or 2 new calipers & breaks
The Bad: Little play in the steering (Auto shop says steering U-Joint is bad), Drivers side strut is going bad (I would replace both sides), Rear drivers side brake needs replacing (Rotor, Pads, Caliper) I may have all the parts to do this.
Headlights need polishing, There is rust on the car on various places.
Drivers side coil spring needs replacing (its broken in half)
I drove this car once to Maryland, allover Michigan & Ohio.
This was a daily driver for over 1 year until I bought a truck and decided to park the Touareg.
After 4-6 months of barely driving the car I decided to rotate the VW back into the weekly driving and all these issues started popping up.
I wanted a fun, fast, nimble little SUV that could tow.
VW Touareg's are great cars.
If you are handy then this may be the buy for you.
To be honest I have lost interest in wanting to work on the VW.
I do not need to sell it.
I can always park in the barn until I am ready to start the work required.
