A pair of castings, one # 3418915F, date code 2860 (Oct.
3 1970), with “U” and “360” cast in; and one #3418915E, date code 220 (Jan.
22, 1970), with “J” and “360” cast in.
Both with 2.
02” intake valves.
These heads were removed in 2020 from a 1970 340 CID engine that is in my 1972 ‘cuda.
I pulled the engine to do a top end rebuild and was planning to have these heads redone, but decided to replace them with aluminum heads (which got me very little, if any, performance gain).
They had about 20,000 miles on them since the engine was rebuilt by previous owner around 2002.
All of the exhaust valve openings have had hardened seats installed, as well as some of the intakes.
I have the valves, springs, washers, and retainers, but not the rocker components.
The castings were cleaned up at a machine shop before I decided to go with new heads.
