We are looking for warm, caring, professional individuals who love play and who genuinely love children.
All candidates for this position must be at least 16 years old, and be available to work most days, Monday through Friday until 6pm (we have some flexibility.

Early Childhood Michigan Scholarship Program through the MIAEYC.
Pay range for this position is typically $12-$14, rates of $15-$16 will be considered for HIGHLY qualified candidates (based on ECE education and years of experience.
)
Must be reliable and live within a reasonable distance to Chelsea, MI, as well as be able to pass state required background checks.
Unfortunately we are not able to accept candidates needing to bring their own child(ren) with them at this time.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist in a careful and creative program suitable for children
* Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.
) to teach children
* Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
* Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.
)
* Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
* Communicate with parents regularly
* Collaborate with other educators
* Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
*Skills*
* Proven experience with children
* Understanding of the principles of child development
* Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
* Excellent communication and instructional skills
* Ability to act as mediator between children
* Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.
