Do you have experience in human services and want to work for a company that positively impacts the lives of the many individuals it serves? In the Life Skills Trainer role, you will help this company in its commitment to serving others by providing training, assistance, and supervision to program group participants in the areas of living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of assistance in both residential & community settings.
Assist with medical supervision
Facilitate working relationships between community employers and Group participants
Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of specific programs developed by the team in the community and residence
Adhere to all treatment philosophies and completes all forms and measurement tools as required
Monitor and provide training in mealtime programming as necessary, prepare food as needed
Assist, supervise, and train participants in basic and advanced living skills (grooming, laundry, cooking, room cleaning, shopping, toileting, feeding, turning in bed, etc) according to the program and charting requirements
Assist with the living needs of the participants as needed
Manage the transfer of participants adhering to training guidelines
Serve as a primary decision maker regarding facility emergencies and participant emergencies on the job site or in the community while following emergency guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of residence at all times
Complete necessary documentation, reports, service summaries, etc.

Maintain confidentiality and assist with maintenance of all accreditation and license requirements
Implement participant treatment programs and related tasks, procedures, and expectations as identified and instructed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with six months to one year of experience in the human services field.
Valid Driver's License from the state of residence
Heavy work.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up-to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
