*Job Overview*
The bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance and timely, accurate payments.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
* Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
* Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
* Manage banking account
* Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
* Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
* Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
* Reconcile and troubleshoot issues with invoices
* Perform payroll functions for all employees and contractors
* Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
*Required Skills/Abilities*
* Excellent organizational skills
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
*Education and Experience*
* 3+ of years of experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role
* Associate’s degree (bachelor’s degree preferred)
* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
*Physical Requirements*
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
