Job Summary:
Cooper-Standard Holdings, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, is actively seeking an External Reporting Intern to support the Finance & Accounting team.
This position will provide valuable experience with internal financial reporting processes, including month-end close and consolidation, as well as external SEC compliance activities, including preparation of our quarterly SEC filings.
There will also be opportunities for collaboration with cross-functional teams and accounting research projects as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
Support the Company’s external reporting process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures as part of our quarterly SEC filings.
Assist with accounting research projects as needed.
Support business unit locations with accounting questions as needed.
May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and Qualifications:
Junior level student.
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field at an accredited university with a minimum 2.
8 GPA.
Able to work from our Northville, Michigan headquarters location 2 -3 days per week with the remaining days being remote.
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Professional Office Environment.
Business professional/business casual attire.
